Copper bonded pipes are manufactured from superior grade and quality steel pipes which are ISI certified. Copper bonding is done to nickel sealed steel pipes to avoid copper to steel merging after all the fabrication works. In order to resist the inside-out corrosion, the pipes are filled with anti-corrosion minerals and sealed before bonding copper.
ISI certified mild steel pipes after sealing with nickel is molecularly bonded with 99.9% pure electrolytic copper. The pipe is filled with minerals which has the property to resist corrosion of the pipe inside-out, which increases the life span of the pipe. A minimum of 100 microns of copper coating is given to the steel pipes making it suitable for sea shore areas, where there is a high risk of corrosion due to which GI pipes are unacceptable.
